Acupuncture
pediatric
Pediatric acupuncture is a gentle and safe approach that adapts to the needs of infants, children, and adolescents. It is based on the same foundations as adult acupuncture, but uses techniques adapted to the sensitivity and vitality of the youngest. The goal is to help the child regain overall balance by stimulating their natural healing abilities. The tools used are often non-invasive, or very light, to ensure optimal comfort. Acupuncture acts on the physical, emotional, and energetic levels, with a holistic vision of health. Children and adolescents generally respond very quickly to acupuncture: their natural vitality allows for notable results, often in a few sessions. It can be used curatively or preventively. More and more families are turning to this complementary approach to support the overall health of their children.
How does a session take place?
An initial meeting allows us to assess the child's condition in collaboration with the parents. The treatment is then adapted according to the child's age, symptoms and sensitivity. Several methods can be used: very fine needles, acupressure, soft moxa, laser or press tack (mini-needles fixed with a bandage). The mini-needles are very fine and almost painless and when necessary, they are inserted superficially and for a short time. During the session, the child can play, read or move freely, making the experience comfortable and well adapted to their world. Each appointment is adapted to the temperament of the child / adolescent.

Environment and adapted approach
The treatment environment is designed to reassure the child and create a climate of trust. The room is warm, with toys, books, and familiar objects. My approach is gentle, patient, and respectful of the child's pace. Colorful language is used to explain the treatment, making the experience more fun. A parent may remain with the child throughout the session. The goal is for the child to experience the treatment as a positive experience. The emphasis is on gentleness, kindness, and attentiveness. This atmosphere fosters a lasting therapeutic relationship and optimal therapeutic effect.
